Over the holidays Kara was contacted by a customer suggesting the Regent Honeyeater as her next sock design. She thought YES that’s a fab idea! These are on a lovely cornflower blue background and feature the incredible Regent Honeyeater in yellow, black and dots of white.
This striking bird is on the critically endangered list here in Australia. It inhabits woodlands and open forests of inland slopes in south-east Australia. It forages mainly on the nectar from a relatively small number of eucalypts including Mugga Ironbark, Yellow Box, White Box and Swamp Mahogany.
