It turns out that the Southern Boobook is one tough little critter having outplayed and outlasted the other larger, laughing owl who died out over 100 years ago (who's laughing now?!) . Today, they're the smallest and most common Owl found down under. Often spotted purched on a branch under the depths of darkness, waiting to pounce on their flying prey, such as moths and even small bats, or ground-dwelling prey, with the house mouse being a staple in their diet.
This one is made from 3mm Corten steel that rusts to a deep brown. You simply hammer it in. It looks good, attracts real birds just like itself & is almost bulletproof.
